Standard 1 - Content Knowledge for Grade 2
1.1 - Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of significant events and themes in United States History.
1 - Students will explain the contributions of historical figures (e.g., George Washington, Harriet Tubman, Sacagawea Squanto, Abraham Lincoln, Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks).
Duration of Lesson: 2 weeks
Resources: Scheduled Computer Lab time twice per week should be appropriate.
Schedule Library time once to twice per week should be appropriate.
